The Mole 5: Clues

**UPDATED TO ADD CLUE**Scroll down..

Let's keep a list of clues from the show. I'll include ABC-given clues and anything else suspicious that appears in the show. I do have Episode 1 on my computer and will continue having access to the episodes, so depending on how much time/interest I have, I might be able to go through and comb for clues. Although I'd like to think they will give us enough clues that we can see from just watching the episodes.

Official Clues:

-The EW clue: I LIE WITH MY EYES
Week 1: Interesting. Is this supposed to be a clue when you read it or when you hear it. There might be a code involved. It might be a fairly literal suggestion. It might mean I lie with my "I"s if you read it out loud. It might refer to Craig's glasses. I don't think any of these clues can be figured out without the addition of some other clues, so we'll keep this an ongoing list.
-ABC clue: NIC@IT
Week 1: This might be a series of first letters of words from a statement. I don't think it refers to Nicole simply by the "NIC."
-ABC clue: E_E_E_
Week 1: To me, this hints at the #11 clue. If we are meant to fill in letters to make a word, and the word is "ELEVEN," then the missing letters are L, V, N. It's possible that the clue is only hinting at the #11 clue, but I think there's a reason only the E's are shown and a reason why there are blanks in the word. Do we focus on the missing letters or the ones that are shown.

Possible Clues:

Week 1:
-Journal #11: Host holds up journal #11. Craig is the 11th in the intro sequence. Mark is the 11th to jump. I have heard that Craig got journal #11, but this is not at all confirmed.
-Green thumbprint helmet: Victoria has a green thumbprint on her helmet. I don't think this at all means she's the Mole. I hope the clues aren't dumbed down this much. It would make a mockery of the show that we as fans love so much. Because I trust the producers, I'm going to say it's either a red herring or it eliminates her as a suspect, or it is a clue pointing to something else. She jumped 8th. Victoria Falls is an actual location.
-Last Supper: Host mentions Last Supper. If I am remembering correctly from what I read about it, there were 12 people besides Jesus and it had just been announced that one was a traitor. Nicole wasn't there at the time. Also, if we're insinuating here that the new host is Jesus, I think that's pretty absurd. Maybe if Anderson Cooper had come back to host..
-Chicago: I have heard that "Chicago" flashes quickly at some point in the episode. Nicole is from Chicago. This would be an absurdly obvious clue, though, so I think it's either a red herring or it refers to something else.
-California: The city they are in is Los Angeles. The boat that was shown said "Jose" on it. Los Angeles, San Jose, both cities in California. I don't find this to be strong evidence though.
-8: Apparently the number 8 appeared a lot in the opening. Victoria jumped 8th with her green thumbprint helmet. Maybe 8 is also an important number. Liz is 8th in the opening.
-5: While we're at it, I'll throw in 5. This is season 5. Nicole is the 5th introduced. Mark was the fifth called at execution. Craig is the 5th alphabetically. Oh, and by the way, the producers made the mistake of putting Ali ahead of Alex on the quiz. I don't think it's a clue, it's just easy to make the mistake of thinking a shorter name comes before a longer one. Who was the 5th to jump? Bobby..
-Alexander Selkirk: Holy shit, guys. So I've been reading all about the Last Supper trying to find a clue and all along, it was Alexander Selkirk, the Robinson Crusoe guy. Wikipedia him, do it now. He was born Alexander SelCRAIG. Are you kidding me? This is more like it.. not an obvious clue, but one that viewers can figure out. Easier than spotting random numbers or letters shown during the show for only a few second. This is something the host actually says. So it's easy to overlook. It was all the strange stories that got me thinking to look them up. I could find nothing at all on the waterfall incident, which is kind of suspicious too. This has got to be some clue..

BTW thank you for reading and thanks to Erin for the comment on the previous post!

How Did I Miss This?

I saw the VH1 video that was posted on ANTPodcast and I thought, they must have had this before. So I went looking for anything from past years and stumbled onto this. How ridiculous.

Here's the Ladies of Reality 06 Clip:

America's Next Top Model Episode 10

Image of the week:

Last week on Anchal is a Trainwreck:
As a sidenote, everytime I try to type "Anchal," I end up first typing "Anchael" and then having to go back and fix it. It's like I always type "Padmas." Like my hands think I'm trying to type Michael and Christmas. Anway, so Anchal was a trainwreck. Melrose found a way to win the challenge without actually winning it. Caridee was great at hiding dizzily. Anchal ran out of the room. Tyra hates Eugena. So do I. Anchal got sent home.

This week on Models Make Great Actresses:
It appears this entry will be filled with sidenotes. We might as well begin with one. I have been watching Veronica Mars. I started watching the first season no more than a week and a half ago. I am currently on episode 16 of the second season. And nothing made me happier than when Naima and Kim appeared for their guest roles. I can't wait for Furonda to show up. Awww I miss Furonda.

So today as I was driving to the dentist, I was listening to my favorite local radio station for the first time in two months, the last time being before I went back to school (in California). So apparently Tyra was just on the early morning show and the clip that they keep playing of her is when they asked her what's her favorite question she's asked on her talk show. She totally says, "When you fart in a room, do you own up to it or pretend it wasn't you?" and they ask her what she would do and she's all, "If I was with my friends, I would tell them to get out that room cuz I just farted.. it's gonna stink! But if I was on a plane, like sleeping, I would pretend to wake up and look behind me like 'what's that smell!?'" Oh, Tyra. Maybe you should stop eating so many baked bean burritos, huh.

With that aside, let's talk about the show. I only watched it once because I was busy and mostly because sometimes some episodes upset me and I can't bare to watch them more than once. I've only seen the one where Brooke leaves once. That could also be because Fabio was on it. Eww, Fabio.

Speaking of Brooke, I recently bought the issue of Seventeen magazine that she, Smellrose, and the twins are in. Because I only buy magazines that have people from TV shows in them. Seriously. I'm waiting for the Elle with Jeffrey and Marilinda to come out so I can go buy it. Marilinda is best model on that show ever. I'm friends with her on myspace. Anyway.. so there's a little section in Seventeen on ANTM. It has the photos that we saw them take on the show. There's a page of inspiration quotes or some crap like that from the judges and other people. Then there's a large photo of the four of them showing us how to pose. There may be some advice on another page about how to pose well.

So Brooke looks adorable and fits right in with Seventeen. Her outfit's the best and she has on these amazing shoes. The twins look.. like each others, which means they look awkward. They have on weird outfits and Amanda's is less strange, I think. Then there's Melrose. She looks old and so out of place. Like who asked Brooke's older sister to come take pictures and pretend that she's not 33. I want to say Melrose is wearing a beret, but that might just be the permanent image of her in my head talking. In the large photo where they're supposed to be teaching us how to pose, they're supposed to be looking straight into the camera, appear inviting or warm or something.. basically, they're supposed to pose and look like they're models. Brooke looks like a model for Seventeen. The twins look a little awkward and a little too over-model-y for Seventeen. Melrose? She looks like she's going to kill someone. She has this dead stare like her eyes are trying to pierce through your soul. It's kinda amazing, especially because they were specifically showing us how to "model pose."

Back to the show. So the first big event I remember is a TyraMail that tells them basically that they're going to have acting lessons. They show up and it's the acting teacher they have every season, Tyra's friend.. I want to say her name is Tara? I don't know.. is she famous? Maybe I should know her. Anyway, she basically gets them to cry and say what they're feeling. Jaeda cries about her hair. I was shocked. Michelle says she doesn't know who she is or what she wants. Caridee breaks down and tells us that she was once suicidal. I was actually shocked to hear that. Then she's really upset and goes backstage to deal with the bomb she just unintentionally dropped about herself. What does Melrose do? She overdramatizes the pain that she feels when people tell her she's not good enough. Instead of talking about insecurities, she acts like a maniac, saying she always tries harder, does better, and she's tired of being criticized or something. Ummm..

The acting challenge is to act out a silent film. They have to do strange things like eat a lemon, which Jaeda apparently not only bites into, chews, but also swallows.. peel and all. They have to drink prune juice, which causes Michelle to get it all over her face and puke up back into the cup. Disgusting. The winner will be revealed soon, is all they get. The winner will have a small role on CW's One Tree Hill. Why not Veronica Mars?! Why?! I would have loved to see our winner on my new obsession of a show.

They get back to the loft. They find out by watching a tape that the winner is Caridee. The silent movie they have made is ridiculous. It's old-looking, completely absurd, and eventually Tyra appears. Surprise, surprise. The movie turns all Spanish on them and then Tyra does her whole I'm on TV one second, then I'm in the room the next! They're going to Barcelona!

Yay. They have the little gig where they have cutouts of the girls' faces and they bob around on this plane that takes them from the US to Spain. I love that. When they arrive, they get on a bus and drive around picking up random possibly racist Spanish male models. Something else might have happened, but they end up at dinner with the boys eventually and are told of their next challenge. They have to team up with a male model and do a commercial. Everybody is practicing except for Jaeda because her male model basically says he doesn't want to kiss her, which they eventually figure out is because he doesn't like black girls. Everybody is shocked and Jaeda is rightfully offended and a little confused as to how to respond.

I'll have to add, I have grown to like Jaeda over the past few weeks. She still has her issues of never getting over her hair issue, but I've started to find her funny and kinda likeable. Maybe because Brooke said in the CW interview that she and Jaeda were good friends. Anyway, I felt really bad for her, because honestly, this is not an issue that should be present in today's society. It just shouldn't.

The next morning, Tyra greets them and asks if they've all gotten to know their male models and stuff and we get the priceless picture above. Jaeda manages to pull off the most adorable little kid sad face ever. That totally won me over. Tyra's like, "You don't like your model, Jaeda?" and Eugena laughs and says, "He said he doesn't like black girls." And Tyra's all, nuh-uh, no he didn't! She says Jaeda will have to deal with it.

So they start shooting their commercials. The twins are their typical selves.. awkward and slightly boring. Eugena isn't great but does seem like she gives a shit, unlike every other episode before. Melrose is all over bubbly and obnoxious, which translates into a good commercial. Jaeda stumbles and gets frustrated and kinda gives up. Caridee looks totally high on something during hers. She pretty much looks like she does in the silent film from earlier, except it's totally inappropriate here. Her eyes are like at the top of her head, crossed, and her mouth is slightly open all the time like she's confused. It was pretty awful. Pretty hard to watch.

So judging. Was there a judging task? I don't remember. They basically skim over most of the girls. They tell Melrose how great she is and everything and she basically wets herself with excitement. They say Eugena's improved. They're disappointed with Jaeda and when they reiterate what her male model said, Miss Jay's response is total shock and disgust. They tell Caridee she bombed and she can't just rest on her challenge win. In the end, they call Melrose, Eugena, Amanda, Michelle.. Caridee and Jaeda are the bottom two. There goes my theory of Caridee and Jaeda in the final three. Jaeda goes home. I'm changing my pick to Eugena. Caridee, Melrose, Eugena final three. The only problem is that means the twins go one after the other. Maybe they're eliminated together. Ooh.

Next week on I Will Cut You, Tyra, If You Send Caridee Home:
Girls go on go-sees. The twins work together. The girls have funky hair in the photoshoot again. Caridee says something to Nigel that Tyra says was "rude." This preview is leaning towards a Caridee downfall. If this was an Amazing Race preview, I would say Caridee is obviously safe next week. Unfortunately, I don't think Tyra is smart enough to think up a misleading preview. After they cut Brooke, I wanted to jump through the TV screen and slap Tyra. If they cut Caridee.. then this whole show is one big charade. One big charade that I will continue to watch, but still..

Top Chef Episode 5

Last week on Who Stole the Cookie from the Cookie Jar:
Chefs had to make an amuse-bouche and Cliff rocked it. Then, as teams of three, they had to design a meal for kids at Camp Glucose for under 500 calories. Apparently, the winning team cheated, or according to Sam, he might have heard of the possibility of someone on another team possibly not playing totally by the supposed rules. Tom put all of the chefs on "probation," which meant they were all sent to their rooms and grounded for the night. Nobody went home.

This week on If Nobody Went Home Last Week, I Wonder How Many Will Go This Week:
The guest chef is a lady who reminds me of someone I know, but I can't pinpoint who. The theme of this week is leftovers. Now, I would have been really happy if the chefs actually had to work with, you know, leftovers. Like I would have liked to see a plate of shredded leftover chicken from Padma's dinner last night. Or a plate of leftover spinach that had been sitting in the fridge for a night. That would have been great.

Instead, for the Quickfire, chefs had to use the leftover parts of animals. Like the liver and etc. I don't know what some of the stuff was and they had interesting names for them, so I was a little clueless. They had two hours to prepare a meal with at least one of the ingredients. Betty points out the obvious but still hilarious.. Wolverine goes for the pig's blood. "Don'tcha think he kinda looks like a vampire?" Hahaha.

During judging, Elia and Josie were pointed out as the worst because their flavors sucked and their dishes were difficult to eat. Elia goes on to confessional to say that she tries to make her dishes taste like a elegant version of the actual food or something. She doesn't mask her food with sauces. I really would've given a buck or two to have Suyai back for a few minutes to say, "Hello, I'm a liver" again. Hahaha.

The best three are Ilan, Sam, and Cliff, I believe. I'll just go assume that's true because it's quite obvious these three are the best. Sam wins and this means he is the only one immune at tribal council.. er, I mean, the judging table.

Next, chefs show up at a restaurant that will be hosting Jennifer Coolidge's big lunch date with sixty friends. I'll go out on a limb and say she knows five of these guests enough to call them actual friends. For anybody unaware, Michael tells us that it's so cool to be able to cook for Stiffler's mom. That's her.. Mrs. Stiffler.

They have to pick a partner and work together to prepare one course of the meal. Wolverine and Frank have course 1. They make salmon and beets. Guest judge says the textures are similar, so it's not extremely superb. That gets washed over as the other judges show how little they care about the guest judge's comments. They think it's good.

Course 2 is Sam and Cliff with foie gras and scallops. They both work really well on the dish and as a team don't seem to run into any difficulties. Cliff doesn't care that Sam has immunity and Sam shows that it doesn't matter that he has immunity. They serve their dish as two plates because they can't figure out how to combine the flavors. The judges seem to like it.

Course 3 is Ilan and Michael. Seafood Paella. Mmmm. Elsie would be proud (different season, different show, I know). Everybody is surprised that Ilan wanted to work with Michael. The dish is apparently excellent, although guest judge points out that there's too much seasoning. Again, the other judges don't care and say it's excellent anyway.

Course 4 is Betty and Mia with their duck napoleon. When I heard this, I was all, ewww.. duck ice cream?! But apparently one can make a savory version of a napoleon and serve it on top of fifteen layers of uncooked puff pastry and call it a napoleon. The judges are confused about the puff pastry and Padma, who btw I have noticed really knows nothing, says that the duck should be the feature of this dish. Gail is all, yeah duh, and says the duck should be pink on the inside if it's cooked correctly. The guest judge doesn't like it.

Course 5 is Josie and Marisa, whom I will name Team Trainwreck. They make what they call an Awakening Trio, which, it doesn't seem these people are falling asleep just yet. The fifth course, we find out, is traditionally a protein. Instead, they serve a strange salad, some weird clump of diced fruit, and pepto bismol. Josie didn't have to say it for me to think it. The minute I saw that spoon, I thought, why is there an antacid on the plate? I think it's funny these two chose each other.. and Cliff and Sam chose each other as well. It appears good chefs hang out with each other and trainwrecks hang out with each other as well.

Course 6 is Carlos and Elia, who have also decided to do three things. Theirs is a trio of desserts. It looks pretty plated, but apparently that doesn't make up for the pomegranate juice that has gone bad. I know exactly what they mean. It gets this really bitter unripe taste. It doesn't always mean it's gone bad though, I don't think. Anyway, they end up messing up one of their plates and put two juices on it instead of an ice cream and that plate comes back with no time left to fix it. That plate cannot be served. The two of them are upset and Carlos goes on to say it was completely his fault and Elia should not go home because of him. That's a nice gesture, but let's see how far that goes into the judging room.

Judgement:
The judges decide that Michael & Ilan's paella and Cliff & Sam's foie gras and scallop are the best dishes. The two teams go to the judging table and Michael is pleased that he has gone from a permanent seat in the bottom three to a seat in the top. This is mainly because of Ilan.. we all know it. If it weren't for him, Michael probably would have molded the rice into a phallic symbol. Anyway, the judges say Cliff and Sam should have found a way to combine the two dishes. Michael and Ilan win and guest judge has to choose one person to go to the Food and Wine Festival with her. Ilan is the ultimate winner. Yay. This is pretty much a three man show right now.

Next, Betty & Mia, Team Trainwreck, and Carlos & Elia are called back. They're criticized for their obvious flaws. Marisa doesn't throw Josie under the bus, surprisingly again. I think maybe Josie's temper tantrum from last episode scared her. Anyway, the judges' conversation obviously shows that there are no redeeming qualities to Team Trainwreck's dish. They didn't really cook anything even. So Padma says, "Marisa.." and Marisa nods her head sadly in resignation (haha), "and Josie.." and Josie also nods, "please pack your knives and go." Mia looks completely shocked. The rest of them also respond accordingly. We see some of the other chefs crying. I wonder if it's because of Josie's departure or because they now realize they had a great chance of going home as a pair themselves. We all know it wasn't because of Marisa. Hahaha. Much like Starr, Marisa is gone fairly early in the game, but not early enough.

Next week on Wolverine is So Small Compared to Frank:
Frank threatens to beat Wolverine into a pulp. Chefs have to make some sort of Thanksgiving related meal. The previews are awful.

Until next time..

The Biggest Loser Episode 9

I have decided that bullet points makes it extremely difficult to read. Let's try to nix that. Helps that for this week, I did not take notes. Also, I am writing these recaps from my home-home, not my school-home.

Last week on The Biggest Loser:
Adrian and Jaron returned to the game because they lost a gazillion pounds. Adrian threw a hissy fit or two, but not before both trainers showed how obviously upset they were that the producers made them look like fools. Heather was a b... herself this week and decided to gain four pounds so she could get rid of Bobby. They voted off Bobby.

This week:
Bob now only has two people to train while Kim has like six or something. I don't know why they think she's a better trainer. From what I see, she just doesn't push them to the point that Bob does. Not that Bob is all that awesome either. Well.. they show Wylie overtraining, and FORESHADOWING, anyone?

This week's challenge involves riding an exercise bike high in the air and every 2 miles a person reaches, they get to send someone down ten feet. After being sent down thirty feet, it is game over. The last person standing will win immunity for the vote. And this week is the first week it's an individual game.

So this challenge also apparently involved Adrian throwing a hissy-fit, Kai playing the sympathy card, but also Kai biking faster than anyone else. By the end of the challenge, Kai is two miles ahead of Eric and they're pretty neck-and-neck for the win. Whoever reaches their two mile mark first would be the winner. Kai pulls it out and wins the immunity. I don't like that people spared her because she was afraid of heights, but I do like that she won it being the person who biked the most.

Anyway, some other stuff happens that involves training and Adrian being upset.

At the weigh-in, the two people with the lowest percentage weight-loss for this week would be in the danger zone. Adrian and Jaron pull good numbers again. Eric pulls double digits. Heather gets a 7, which means she only lost 3 additional pounds to the four she gained last week. Wylie loses 0 pounds because apparently he worked out too much. Marty loses 8 pounds but is still below the yellow line, which is ridiculous and incredible.

At the judgement table, Adrian and Jaron vote for Marty. Heather and Kai vote for Wylie because they wanted him gone like a month ago. And because they say when you do poorly one week, the next week, you'll do amazing. Like Heather, who technically lost three pounds. That's how I see it, anyway. So it comes down to Eric to break the tie and everybody assumes it's Wylie who's going home. Incredibly, Eric votes for Marty, who he said he wouldn't vote for since the two of them are the only blues remaining. He says she wants to win the game. If you think about it, though, Marty lost 8 pounds and was still below the yellow line. This game may become harder for him, being one of the heavier yet more muscular players left. I don't think this would have been the last time in the danger zone for him.

Sorry, Marty, you are not the biggest loser. We are shown that Marty was the best teacher in the world. He lost an additional twenty-five pounds after going home. Awesome.

Next week on The Biggest Loser:
I don't think I saw the preview, but here's a guess. Bob is mad at Eric for voting out Marty. Adrian throws a hissy-fit. Heather and Kai are in the bottom two (I hope, I hope, I hope).

Until next time..

The Amazing Race Episode 9

Previously on TAR:
- Teams traveled from Mauritius to Madagascar.
- The Intersection was introduced in a last-ditch attempt at saving David and Mary.
- Tyler and James and Rob and Kimberly choked on the Fast Forward, coming in after the Barbies, in second and third place respectively.
- The Barbies rocked that leg.
- Bama barely moved faster than a slow crawl because they knew they would definitely beat Kentucky's half hour penalty.
- Kentucky went home.

This week:
- Apparently Madagascar is the 4th largest island. I'm not sure why I was surprised, because thinking about it now, Madagascar is pretty big compared to Crete and stuff. I'm assuming Antarctica and Australia are considered continents and not islands. Greenland's pretty big. Anyway.. unimportant.

- Clue: Go to Helsinki, Finland, log onto aol.com to get the next clue. Tickets to Paris are provided, due to the lack of flights leaving Madagascar on any given day. Teams then have to book their own travel from then on, and they do not have to keep the Paris tickets, which put them on a flight that leaves in like 16 hours.
- Beginning of the leg observations: The Barbies are awesome. Kimberly washed her hair. The Chos are stupid.. this isn't friend camp.
- The first four teams manage to figure out it's faster to go through Johannesburg. It looks like Bama won't make it, but then the TAR fairy appears after having just finished having brunch with Rob and Brennan, Flo and Zach, Chip and Kim, and Uchenna and Joyce (all winning teams who noteably had some visits from the TAR fairy). They let them on the plane five minutes after it already departed or something. They flew them up in a hovercraft and dropped them into open seats.
- Karlyn actually smiles. Make note of this. I think this is smile number 3 so far this season.
- A little bit of Cho/Bama tension. Foreshadowing.
- Hmmm I wonder who the sponsor is. Teams get to see messages from home. The best one is when they show a Chos' girlfriend and then for the other one, it's his mother and sister.. who are actually both of their mother and sister. I just thought it was funny. It was like haha you are single. No one wants to be with you right now. Maybe not exactly.. I just thought it was funny.

- The family members give the next clue, which tells them to go to the cafe manager or something. Clue: Go to the city of Tampere via train and then taxi.
- Bama totally breaks down. They're the last ones there and I have to say the children are adorable. Lyn's three children read the clue together really slowly so they can be in unison and it's cute.
- All teams get on the same train.
- Barbies and Models "flirt"? I'm not quite sure because they're both aware of how important it is to play their own strong games. I think they kind of just pretend to lead each other on. I am so glad the Barbies are not Megan & Heidi, Dani & Danielle, Heather & Eve, etc. They know that nobody comes on a race for a million dollars to find a hot guy to hook up with. They don't cling to other teams for help.. they do it themselves. And frankly, if they did decide to use other teams for help, they would be wasting time because these two are very efficient.
- The Barbies and Models get off the train first and quickly find cabs parked in front of the station. The rest of them have to go to where there's a line, or as that part of the world says it, a queue. Kim and Rob ask a couple if they could please cut in line because it's an emergency and the couple says okay. This is fine and for once this team doesn't seem like the asses. Then, Bama proceeds to do the same thing, minus the asking for permission. They rudely jump into a cab as someone else is trying to get in and say, "Thank you sir!" in an obnoxious tone. Can it, Bama. The Chos then bitch about being polite and how it's gonna cost them. No, Chos, what's gonna cost you is this inability to work by yourself, for yourself, without concerning yourself with carrying the weaker teams around.

- Barbies and Models do a pointless race to the clue box, where they both find the Detour: Swamp This or Swamp That (they have run out of catchy ideas). In Swamp This, teams have to put on skis and go trekking through the swampy mud. In Swamp That, teams have to crawl through an obstacle course, at one point where one member has to carry the other. Both teams have to climb over a fence at one point and jump into the heavy quicksand-consistency mud.
- Teams that do Swamp This: Barbies and Bama. Teams that do Swamp That: Models, Rob/Kim, Chos.

- Tyler/James narrowly edge out the Barbies a finish the challenge first. They receive the next Clue: Take a train to Turku. Then drive 74 miles to Lorja.
- The Models decide to change clothes before getting in their car, but the Barbies don't because they're not prima donnas like the boys. Also, is it just me, or did the Barbies just not get dirty at all? In the short of them in their taxi right after the challenge, they look like they just spent thirty minutes shopping.
- At one point, Rob says something to the effect that Kim was heavy, or difficult to carry. She says, "Are you calling me fat?" Best part, there's no exchange after that. Rob doesn't say no, neither of them laugh, and Kim doesn't get angry either. I thought it was hilarious.
- Barbies and Models make the train and stand there urging it to hurry up and move. Usually, this is where the TAR fairy comes along and helps the back end teams out a little. Not this time. In an excellent display, Rob and Kimberly arrive in time to see the train leaving the station. It's fantastic.
- By the way, Kimberly's freshly showered look from earlier? Gone. She looks rough once again.
- In a strange exchange, Rob and Kimberly try to go past Bama/Cho on the train to go back to their seats and Bama/Cho are standing up for some reason and Bama goes on and on about "no party train with Rob and Kim."
- The Models find the next place and go into a mine, which is a classic example of doing something reminiscent of a former contestant. In this show and some others, the episode after a contestant leaves, there's a challenge that is something he/she would have loved or exceled at. This is a David challenge.
- Barbies have to wait because they don't quite find the marked flag as quickly.
- There is Bama/Cho tension again. Foreshadowing.
- Roadblock at the bottom of the mine ride: Bike into the mine, get a block of limestone, ride back up and break it open to get the clue, which is in a vile/container.
- Rob calls Bama Frick and Frack.
- James and Kandice do the Roadblock.
- James finds the clue first: Drive to Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
- Rob tries to drive into the mine. Chos and Bama find the mine clue before Rob and Kim.
- Models get to the Olympic Stadium first but go into the stadium and cannot find the marked flag, which is on a door outside of the stadium.
- Finally they find the clue: Go to the top of the tower. They find out they have to rappel down the tower face first. Excellent. One of the models is scared.
- Rob and Kim are a trainwreck as they fail to spot the marked door yet again when it seems they've right behind Chos/Bama, who spot it quickly. Rob and Kim display major trainwreck signs.
- After numerous mentions this episode by the contestants of how they're getting close to the pitstop, of course we have a TBC. It was about time.. I assumed it was time leg since it wasn't last leg. The Models get a clue after finishing rappeling and the Barbies are in the process of getting suited up and starting the rappel. Rob and Kimberly are cut off in this episode looking like a total trainwreck.

Next week: Tank time with Dennis and Andrew. I wouldn't be surprised if they were still in there, hoping to get the fast forward that will same them from behind five hundred hours behind. I think the Chos are toast next week. There's major foreshadowing of Bama screwing over the Chos and taking the final four spot. If so, this would mean two all-female teams in the final four. Would be a TAR first. And I'm crossing my fingers for a Rob and Kim trainwreck. Nothing is funnier.

Until next time..

America's Next Top Model Episode 9

Clip of the Week:

Previously on America's Next Top Model
:
- Dita von Teese does not have a sexy voice.
- Anchal is apparently model-heavy.
- Fabio made an appearance, groped some girls, made some sketchy comments, etc.
- Brookie went home :'(

This week:
- I took notes, so I will probably use bullet points.
- Everybody was surprised at Brooke's departure, even Melrose. When Melrose shows even a tinge of sadness, it's monumental. Brookie was awesome.
- CariDee has her guitar and we're blessed with another Phoebe moment as she proceeds to play song dedicated to Brooke. Melrose sings along. And so does the guy in the computer cluster. Shut. Up. Seriously.
- Melrose apparently wants it bad. Really?

TyraMail: I don't like how the new TyraMail is actually labeled "TyraMail" and comes all magazine style. I'm big into keeping show traditions. Anyway, something about bomping a girl out of the competition or something. In my head, it refers to Melrose.

- They go to a beach. Gabrielle Reese is there. She is an athletic model and volleyball player.
- Jaeda announces that she plays volleyball at school. Good for you, Jaeda.
- Gabrielle teaches them to dive for a ball but still look hott.
- Anchal thinks she (Anchal) looks gross in a bikini. No, Anchal, you look normal. Bones McBoneman looks gross (insert either of the twins.. they wouldn't fill a swimsuit if they were wearing it together).
- CariDee is awesome. Either she says she's goofy and awkward, or she behaves in the manner.
- Eugena says she was on the volleyball team in high school but never played. Which means she was a benchwarmer. Hahaha. I was a benchwarmer my senior year of high school for the tennis team. I took it as a blessing rather than get upset like some other people. I don't know how Eugena felt, but the idea of being a benchwarmer will always be hilarious to me.
- Jaeda is "a pro." She looks good in this exercise. Good for you, Jaeda.. something you can do right. Finally.
- Amanda looked stupid. Anchal looks fine, but doesn't really go for it. She half-asses the dive and therefore looks stupid.
- Melrose is apparently in the confessional 24/7. Confessional number 279 appears where she comments on something unimportant.
- Anchal is self-conscious.. etc. etc. etc. Eugena at one point calls her a blob.
- Hmmm.. I wonder who's going home.

TyraMail: Are you gonna snap when the pressure is on?

- They go to a racetrack.
- James St. James and Stanton Barrett are the challenge hosts.
- Eugena calls James St. James a gothic drag queen. This is in confessional, so she may have been looking in a mirror again. Or at Jaeda. She just doesn't know the definition for goth. It doesn't mean being Bobby Brown or wanting to suck people's blood.
- This challenge involves pretending that Stanton Barrett is their boyfriend and attacking him because he doesn't think they should have their careers as models.
- They have to shoot themselves using a remote.
- Eugena wears awful shoes.
- The shots look ridiculous.
- Melrose looks like an antelope in her shots.
- Jaeda isn't too bad actually.
- CariDee goes ballistic like she is when she's in competition mode. She tells Stanton they'll have make up sex later.
- Anchal is going to the prom. They had to dress themselves and Anchal dressed herself thinking she had no boobs and this wasn't an action shot. Stupid decision. Her shots are horrible. She once again half-asses it.
- Hmmm.. I wonder who's going home.
- Michelle's face looks ridiculous, but apparently it looks angry, too, like it's supposed to. She breaks the car with her heel because she stands on it in order to jump and attack Stanton. Which.. versatility in shoots is key.
- CariDee is waving a red flag around. Funny. (Side note: it's really hard to remember to capitalize the 'D')
- Michelle wins. She picks CariDee, Amanda, and Melrose. Everybody's confused about the choice of Smellrose.
- They get a $10,000 shopping spree.

Shopping Spree:
- They meet up with Stanton and Kate Nobelius at the Couch Nobelius fashion showroom.
- They get 30 seconds to run around, put on clothes, and run back. The person with the most clothes on wins everybody's clothes. Which sucks. Michelle won the challenge. Let her have the prize.
- Jaeda is like, I don't wanna stand here and watch. This sucks. I want to go back to the loft. Piss. Moan. Blah.
- CariDee gets 7 items. Michelle gets 11. Amanda gets 10. Smellrose gets 13.
- Not fair. Smellrose should share with Michelle.

Back at the place:
- Anchal "has no friends."
- Smelly and Anchal yell about nothing for a few seconds.

TyraMail: Tomorrow you will defy the biggest model stereotype. Don't be an airhead. CariDee reads this. Haha. Then she's all like, "I don't get it." I don't know if she was being funny, but it certainly came out funny.

- They show up for their first Covergirl assignment of the season.
- The action photographer is Patrik Giardino.
- The girls have to be sexy space sirens.
- Eugena doesn't want to.. something. I tend to tune out what she says. Just like I'm trying to tune out Cluster Guy. I don't care. Stop speaking so loudly.
- They are at an indoor skydiving training facility.
- Their outfits are ridiculously spacey.

What Mr. Jay says, what I say, and bonus bit of what Sutan says:
- Michelle has no grace. Her hands are like catchers mitts. You are not Janice, Jay, that is a Janice term.
- Jaeda is pretty good. Graceful.
- Amanda is flailing around. She is a pile of bones. No surprise what would happen to her in a tornado.
- Sutan tells Anchal to suck it in over and over. Apparently Anchal has a weight problem.
- Jaeda laughs like a man about something.
- Anchal is not graceful. Jay is not surprised.
- Eugena is annoying. That's probably my opinion.
- Smellrose is pretty flat. Afterwards, she's not happy.
- CariDee is all over the place. Jay says she wasn't listening to instructions and wasn't being safe.

TyraMail: Judging tomorrow, where one of the girls will be kicked to the curb.

A few random clips:
- Melrose is pulling a Lisa Season Five and is roleplaying, wearing a mustache, an ugly beret, being French. Odd.
- Eugena says something about sucking and if she sucks, she should go home. Send her home!
- Cluster Guy left. Thank you.

Judging:
- Tyra's hair! Ahhh! Why?
- Gabrielle Reese is the guest judge.

Test: Act out a verb and an adverb.
- Eugena gets "shake flirtatiously." Eh. I don't like Eugena.
- Amanda is "ski sadly." She doesn't look sad.
- Jaeda gets "skip sensually." It's not sensual unless you consider the part where her bra falls off and she has to pull it back up.
- Michelle is "swim frightfully." It's lame. She lies on the ground and makes swimming motions.
- Anchal is "dance aggressively." She sucks and does the whole doubting herself spiel.
- Melrose has "box joyfully." She makes a box around her face with her hands. Stupid. But funny.
- CariDee is "hide dizzily." HILARIOUS. Observe the video above. She continues in character up until she leaves.

Back to judging:
- Eugena reminds Tyra of Naomi Campbell. Which.. Tyra hated Naomi. Everything Tyra says to Eugena is pretty much about how she doesn't like her. Haha. She looks like an astronaut, not a model in her photo. She has no face in it. Surprise.
- Amanda has a good face in the photo.
- Jaeda. Gabrielle calls her big. Editors put this clip in the wrong place I think. Tyra calls Jaeda Michael Jackson. Hahahahaha. Michael Jackson is not surprisingly another man Jaeda looks like. Her chin is HUGE in the photo. It is the size of Brooke's home state.
- Anchal didn't try. She had the weirdest exit (where she ran out of the room) other than Jade's exit last season. She has a good face angle but is apparently also Michael Jackson.
- Melrose was stupid by funny. Hey, that's what I said. Her picture is good. Big compliments.
- Cari is amazing. She gets applause. They say the picture is brilliant. I actually think the body is weird, but who do I care, I love CariDee.
- Michelle chickened out. Tyra disses her and talks about how she throws it away and is wasted space or something. She's also Michael Jackson. So everybody Tyra doesn't like is Michael Jackson.

Deliberation: Cari is crazy, Eugena is an insect.

Tyra calls:
- CariDee
- Smelly
- Jaeda (::gasp::)
- Amanda
- Eugena
Bottom two: Michelle and Anchal.

Anchal goes home. She's graceful in her exit. Graceful yet still insecure. Man, I did not see that coming. Five thousand mentions of Anchal and her insecurities. Who would've known.

Next week on ANTM: I didn't see the preview for next week. Let's see.. Jaeda has short hair. Jaeda wants to be a man. Eugena whines. Smellrose wins the challenge. Cari does funny things. I bet they go to an exotic place. I really want them to go to Greenland or something. There's some exotic photo shoot and/or a commercial or acting. One of the twins goes home.

Until next time..

Survivor Episode 9

Unfortunately, it's really hard for me to take notes while I'm watching Survivor, so this won't be a play-by-play.

Last week on Survivor:
Ozzy caught a bird. Aitu won reward because Brad was "better at puzzles." Raro had a come from behind victory in the IC when Jenny was actually the better one at puzzles. Flicka was paranoid. Aitu had a bad feeling about Jonathan but let go of Flicka.

This week:
Basically three things happen- Mutiny has Candice and Jonathan switching to Raro, which makes Aitu very very mad. Aitu destroys Raro in the challenges. Raro votes off Brad instead of Jonathan and then find out Brad is the first member of the Jury. I'll cover the episode by talking about those three points.

1- Mutiny:
At the reward challenge, Jeff says they're going to try something new. He will give them ten seconds to change their fate and the fate of this game forever. I think this twist was invented when they cast Adam and Candice who either fell for each other really quickly or were dating before this game began and the producers just forgot to tell us. They knew Candice would switch. I really don't think anybody would have switched in any other season.. maybe Shii Ann in Thailand, but it depends.

So Candice steps off the mat when there's three seconds left. Then when Jeff says "1," Jonathan quickly skips off of the mat. I really think he left the mat after Jeff finished the countdown, but it doesn't matter. I just think it would have been hilarious if Jeff told him he was too late and had to stay on Aitu. Hahaha, that would have been awesome.

So apparently Jonathan trusts Candice 100% and Candice trusts Jonathan, oh, like 15%. Haha. When explaining why he mutiny-ed, Jonathan said he trusted Candice and if it was bad judgment on her part, he was a fool to follow. As if they have to act in tandem. Whatever, Jonathan. You two aren't even each others' puppets. And Parvati doesn't like you.

So Aitu is pissed. I mean pissed. After the mutiny occurred, each of them had the look of fiery rage in their eyes. They almost burned holes through Candice and Jonathan. Well, Becky normally has an "I will cut you" look, but the other three were all so steaming as well.

How good was this as a strategic move? On Candice's part, it seems like her stock didn't go up nor down in the game, she's just now with Adam. She has effectively dropped his stock a couple notches, though. I think he will leave this game before her and he will leave because of being with her. On Jonathan's part? Boneheaded move. He's stupid. He is in much more danger being on a Raro tribe that isn't looking for a loud-spoken leader type. Nobody wants him there, not really even Candice.

2- Challenges:
Reward- This is right after the mutiny. Each tribe has to put two people in barrels while two other people roll them all over the freaking place. I would puke. I would hate that challenge. If I were there, I would force a six foot tall, 250 pound man to go in the barrel so I wouldn't have to. That's why I will never be on Survivor. Although had it been last season, Cirie would have said, "You get your ass in that barrel, Aras. I'm not about to be rolled around by you." Oh, Cirie, I miss you.

As a side note, I'm in the computer cluster of my dorm. The lights in here are turned on by motion and if you're sitting relatively still like all people do when they're at a computer, the lights eventually turn off after ten minutes. It sucks balls.

So Aitu puts the girls in the barrels while Yul and Ozzy roll them. Raro has Jenny and Candice in the barrels while Adam and Nate roll them. Here's how it basically goes: There's no time lost by either team in the rolling process. It's getting the barrels out to sea to get the flags that makes all the difference. Yul pulls the barrel with the girls while Ozzy goes off into his natural habitat to snatch the flags. They get back on land, put the flags up, and together dig for a hatchet of some sort to cut a rope and release a flag. Aitu creams Raro. Raro basically sat in the water floating around for half an hour. It was like watching Tom and Terry in a boat: pathetic.

Aitu is excited, especially Ozzy, who rubs it in Raro's face and yells, "Mutineers are the first to die." A little unnecessary, but I understand his rage and triumph. Good for you, Aitu. They get breakfast, buffet style, and letter and pictures from home. It's a great moment between them as they enjoy their letters. Sundra is obviously really emotional, but she doesn't try to steal the moment and just cries quietly to herself. I like Aitu. I'm not a huge Ozzy fan like everybody else seems to be, but he's grown on me. And I'm a Yul/Becky fan. Sundra has been really quiet in the tribe, but I do like her a lot as well.

Oh, so Aitu sends Candice to Exile because, well, she's dead to them right about then. She feels bad and tries to look at them apologetically, but they don't care. We see her cracking a coconut open and then finding it to be rotten. That's about it.

Immunity- The challenge is also pretty neat. They've done a good job this season with exciting and unique challenges. The tribes are in glass-bottom boats and have to navigate around and line up with targets where they will release cannonballs, aiming to release two buoys at a time. They have to do this three times, then row to shore until they hit a mat, and spell a word with five of the buoys. Awesome.

Here's how it goes down.. Raro takes a huge lead to begin with (well, not huge, but it would appear so given the task). They're ahead two to none until they run into a wall: Jonathan. He totally loses focus because he's freaking out. He even says, "Oh, please" to Jeff. You do not talk back to Jeff like that. Yul figures out that it's easier to look through the hole than to line up the crosshairs. He just drops the cannonball when he sees the target through the hole. Why does he figure this out? Because he's smart and inventive. He tries to tell his tribe, but they understand what he's doing and tells him to shush because they like to watch Trainwreck Jonathan. (Tangent: There's a guy in my dorm that always talks when he's in the computer cluster. He talks to himself but it's like everybody else in the room is his audience. It's annoying. If I wanted to socialize with you, I wouldn't do it in the cluster. People come to the cluster, you know, to work on homework or study. Stop talking, please. I cannot concentrate.)

So Jonathan totally starts watching Aitu. Parvati tells him to stop taking them with him to this trainwreck and please focus. It's hopeless as Raro starts throwing cannonballs left and right while Aitu rushes back to shore and figures out the word is BOUNTY. Aitu wins immunity.

3- Vote:
So after Jonathan joined Candice in an expedition to Raro, Nate was all "Jonathan's gone." He thinks Jonathan is stupid for coming over. Blah blah blah. Nate talks to fill air and pass time. He says nothing about Candice because he doesn't want to upset his buddy Adam. Nate understands. He wants to get into Parvati's pants.. Adam is already in Candice's. So, in general, there's a lot of pissing and moaning about Jonathan. Jenny and Rebecca look a little pissed in general that new people are around. They have this quiet pissed air about them. Like, "I won't say anything, but try to tell me this is okay. I will slap you." They don't like it.

Somewhere in the midst of questions and scrambling, the decision is made that Brad will go. Nate says he'll play the good actor and good friend and assure Brad that he's safe. Which is another way that Nate can fill air and make himself look important. Brad doesn't need assuring. He's not that type. He doesn't care about you, Nate.

They vote out Brad and Jeff announces that he's part of the jury. This means a 10 person jury, which is odd, but could potentially be funny. I wonder if CBS would say the final two have to share the money if it comes to a tie. So, the whole Raro tribe looks shocked. They're all kinda laughing, which I heard in forums some people thought was Raro laughing at Brad. I think it was more of Raro laughing at having potentially chosen the wrong person to send to the jury just yet.

Let's talk strategy. I like this season because there's no definite tribal loyalties. The current tribes are comprised of different original tribes. People mutiny-ed. It's gonna be exciting. I really think when the merge occurs, Jenny and Rebecca should join up with the Aitu alliance. That could be a tight alliance. They might sacrifice Ozzy because he's such a threat, but I can see Yul, Becky, Sundra, Jenny, Rebecca really teaming up. I hope this season comes down to the immunity idol making a huge play. I can see Yul having the balls to use it to change the game, unlike Terry, who couldn't think big picture. How incredible would it be if he pulled it out to save his ass or even Becky and in turn send home somebody like Nate or Adam. Can't wait to see.

Next week on Survivor: Jeff has some vile with sand or something. Another twist. Everybody looks shocked. Another immunity idol? I don't know. Merge or no merge? Will Adam and Candice do it on camera? Will Nate stop blowing smoke? What will Ozzy catch this time, a bear?

Until next time..

The Biggest Loser Episode 8

(Quick summary.. I watched this a long time ago and right now I'm in a little crunch for time. Just spent three days watching Veronica Mars Season 1.)

Last week, Brian and Pam were sent home because they were not the biggest losers. Caroline Rhea told us that they would be replaced by two new people.

This week, we're introduced to the three men and three women that lost the most weight at home. They mingle with the others for a night. Heather and Kai even act like fools and try to move a bed from their room into Pam's old room and then finally realize they could just give up their room for a night. Geniuses, I tell you.

The at-home contestants get to be weighed. They've all lost a gazillion pounds and look fantastic. The one guy and one girl with the biggest weight loss percentages will get to rejoin the game. Adrian is the girl with the biggest loss. She's loss like 50 pounds and is now like 170 pounds. Jaron is the guy with the biggest loss. He's.. I forget how much he lost. Anyway, Caroline rubs it in the contestants faces that Adrian has the largest percentage weight loss out of all of them and Jaron is in second.

General consensus: Nobody is happy. The contestants are pissed because they don't think it's fair that people are only now joining the game. Well, it probably didn't seem fair to them when they weren't chosen to be on the ranch. The trainers? Are obviously pissed. Because how embarrassing is it to see that people have lost more weight at home without you than the other contestants have at the ranch? Kim actually grills Adrian on what she did to lose weight at home and then was like, "See? Age is a huge issue. See? Beer is a lot of extra weight you lose when you stop drinking." I don't like Kim very much. Trainers in general have a certain attitude that I don't like. Jackie on Workout has the same attitude but I have less of a problem with her, probably because Mimi was so ridiculous.

There's a challenge that involves a mini challenge where the pairs have to calculate calories. The pair that is closest gets to choose what objects everybody gets to carry a ton of. There are jugs of water, bricks, dumbells, and tires. Wylie and Marty win the calorie count by being like ten off or something, which was surprising and ridiculous because the others were like 800 off or more. They choose the jugs. Kai and Eric get the tires. Heather and Bobby get the dumbells. Adrian and Jaron get the bricks. Which sucks. I don't like this challenge because it pretty much should have just been a calorie count. The winner of that was the winner of the challenge. Anyway, Wylie and Marty win. Heather, Bobby, Kai, Eric all decide to finish and Adrian and Jaron say screw it. There's a big fuss about finishing what you start and yeah, I get the point. But you know, if all the objects were the same, I would say they should have finished. The fact that they were obviously given the short stick.. I don't know. Whatever.

There's drama with Adrian and how Kim's workouts aren't as intense as hers, but they do excessive amounts of them. Basically, Adrian did practical workouts at home. Kim does a lot of workouts that make sense to do, but wouldn't be practical with real lives at home. Adrian's frustrated. Kim's a prima donna. On and on it goes.

They have their weigh-in. The bottom team is Heather and Bobby. Why? Because Heather the moron decided it would be a good idea to gain weight. Because she's "playing the game." I didn't like it when Eric did it, but when he did it, he knew Kai would use the free pass, so he wasn't trying to screw her over. He was trying to get everybody on an even playing field. Heather was trying to screw over Bobby because he's a threat, aka a male. I don't like Heather. She and Kai are so adament on having a female win, but probably not one named Adrian I'm sure, that they will do anything. Ugh. So Bobby apparently checked out of the game a week or two ago because he misses home and Bob gives him some spiel and tells him to serve it right to Heather. Unfortunately, each pair only has one vote and they agree to vote off Bobby.

Next week on The Biggest Loser, Adrian loses it.

Until next time..

Top Chef Episode 4

Last week on Top Chef:
-Emily made salt.
-Betty scolded Wolverine.
-Betty screamed really loudly when she won.
-Emily went home.

This week:
-I think Padma is hilarious.
-Betty feels good.
-Michael feels like crap. Maybe he ate his own food.
-The guest judge of the week is Suzanne Goin.

Quickfire: Amuse-Bouche
-Contestants have to make an Amuse-Bouche, something that "amuses the mouth."
-They head to go shopping.. at the vending machines outside of the kitchen. Hahahaha.
-They have $10 in quarters to spend on 2 ingredients per machine. It appears there are typical snacks and drinks machines and one of those nicer spinning machines with after meal type foods like sandwiches.
-Cliff thinks Michael will win because Michael eats crap. Kinda like Miguel of last season. Unlike Miguel, Michael doesn't care and can't cook anything.
-Wolverine sucks. He says some crap about something.
-Michael is last in line and says screw the Quickfire because the items he wanted are gone. Stupid. Although I do agree that everybody should have had the same choices. They should have stocked the vending machines with enough product so it wasn't a first-come-first-serve deal.
-Marisa sucks. She's making a salad.. out of a salad that she bought. So she's pretty much making a slightly more advanced version of one of the ingredients she bought. Cop-out, I think. At least this is one of only two or three times that she speaks all episode. Yay.
-Wolverine has the smallest melon baller in the world.
-Michael pretty much makes a penis. It looks disgusting. He didn't try at all.
-Ilan says peoples portions are too huge. An Amuse-Bouche is supposed to be a small taste that makes you want more.

What they made:
Frank- Ham and Swiss Cheese Quiche. Mint Infused Tea.
Betty- Fromage Frittata. Basil, Pear and Fiig Sauce.
Sam- Potato Salad and Pickle with Fennel Powder on Crispy Chip.
Elia- Dorito Tostada, Chicken Salad, Chili Corn and Lime.
Michael- Penis: Cheese Puff set in a chocolate candy bar mound. Stupid. It's literally a Cheeto stuck into a piece of Snickers.
Josie- Deconstructed chicken salad and shortbread cookie puree.
Cliff- Curried Banana Pudding, Sunflower seeds and Herb Cheese Crisp.
Marisa- Tropical Salad. They literally do not show her dish at all. It's the only one that's not shown. Hahahaha.
Carlos- Sunflower seed and carrot loaf with cilantro, sesame and squirt. It looks disgusting but apparently tastes really good.
Mia- La Bocadita Deliciosa: Twinkie with charred banana and strawberry yogurt. Ginger lime mojito. Suzanne says it's a dessert. Mia says yes. Suzanne says, "but it's supposed to be an amuse-bouche." I guess not everybody knows what that means completely, Miss Snotty.
Wolverine- Duo of cracklings with lemon and rice pudding. Grapefruit soda. Suzanne says this is also very dessert-like. She doesn't give him the same attitude she gave Mia though. Why? Wolverine is more obnoxious.
Ilan- Deviled Egg with corn nuts, deep fried salami, pear nectar and fig paste. When I saw this, I said okay, Ilan wins. I LOVE deviled eggs. Mmmmm.

Elimination Challenge:
They are split into four teams. Each has to make an entree, side dish, and dessert.. all under 500 calories. They will have to serve their food at Camp Glucose to kids between the ages of 8 and 18.

The teams are:
Black- Wolverine, Betty, Frank
Orange- Cliff, Carlos, Sam
White (white haha)- Ilan, Elia, Josie
Red- Mia, Michael, Marisa

The black team was totally setup by the producers. What are the chances of Wolverine and Betty being on the same team? Almost too good, huh. I call the Red team the handicapped team. It has Michael and Marisa. What do you expect? Other people might have nicknamed them the M-team or something. Nope, handicapped team it is.

-Apparently Sam is diabetic. No way.
-Wolverine suggested asparagus. How about pizza, Betty says.
-There are Nutritionists for each team. Some seem more pleasant than others.
-Marisa wants to make chocolate fudge cake. She's not annoying when she talks here. It's amazing.
-Betty is making meringues. She puts a thousand whites in the mixer and then wonders why they're not forming stiff peaks. As they spill over the top of the mixing bowl.
-Marisa opens her mouth again. What are the chances of not being annoying twice in a row? Slim to none. She says there's no way you can make meringue with splenda instead of sugar. It's a big no in pastry business or something. Shut up, who says we should trust you after that penna cotta?
-Orange team's dessert sucks. It's a smoothie. Whoopie. Not. White team is making a cheesecake that looks amazing. The other two look pretty good. Then there's team protein shake. Carlos says these kids have to learn a lifestyle of healthy. Except the thing is, the other desserts fit into the 500 calorie mark. It's also sometimes about finding the healthiest ways to eat really good food.
-Wolverine says Betty is failing. Actually, he says the meringues are failing, which means Betty is failing. The associative property or something. He says if they lose, Betty will throw him under the bus. Shut up.
-Mia looks like a kid in confessional.
-So the next day, there's all this suspicious talk. Apparently, Betty altered the recipe. After the nutritionists approved their menus, they were not supposed to deviate at all I guess.
-Surprisingly, Marisa does not start openly accusing Betty and telling on her to Tom.

At Camp Glucose:
-Gail looks ridiculous. She's dressed ridiculously and her facial expression is ridiculous as always.
-The teams have to have one person sell their menu to the kids and then the kids choose what they want to eat.
-Josie is loud. The kids laugh at her.
-Michael pitches his group's idea. He's also laughed at. Oh, he says "rock and roll." I thought that phrase was gone from television for awhile. Bummer. Now I have to bring out my bongos from storage. Let's play music! Rock and roll!
-The kids choose their dishes. 5 choose red, 7 choose orange, 7 choose white, and 15 choose black. Because they want pizza.
-The kids are awesome.
-Some kid wants to marry the hot diabetic guy. Earth to kid.. Sam has a man-ponytail sometimes. It's fugly.
-The consensus is that the smoothie is sour and disgusting, and Red's cole slaw is disgusting. It has no flavor. That's just because Emily used up all the salt last week.
-Afterwards, the chefs play soccer with the kids. Wolverine hits Ilan in the face with the ball. Elia thinks it's hilarious.

Judging:
-Black team wins.
-Frank says it was his decision to make pizza.
-Why do I remember it being Betty that mentioned it?
-Frank gets Suzanne's book and at this point I was laughing because what a lame prize. He also gets to collaborate with her on a three course meal. Not as awesome as your dish in TGIF all over the country.
-Orange and Red are the bottom 2.
-The judges ask who made the cole slaw. The Red team says all of them.
-Marisa doesn't throw anybody under the bus?!
-Mia stands up for Michael saying it's ridiculous that people say he doesn't care.
-Suzanne immediately gets defensive and says she said he ACTS like he doesn't care. Umm, whatever.
-Sam says people cheated. Then he refuses to name names. He says he won't go there. It makes him seem like he's desperately pulling at straws.
-Mia says she'll go there. She says Betty substituted Sugar instead of Splenda.
-There's tension while they all wait in the room for the verdict.
-Tom goes to talk to all of them.
-Betty explains that she made the portions smaller and used two extra tablespoons of sugar. She thought it was okay as long as they stayed below their 500 calorie mark.
-Betty cries.
-Wolverine bitches that they didn't cheat.
-Tom says he thinks it was an honest mistake.
-Nobody is going home. Instead, they're all grounded. Haha, he says they're all on probation.
-Pack home, Josie gets loud again. Something about not holding her hand.
-Marisa thinks Mia is hypocritical for not mentioning to Betty that she was the one to call her out. Umm, excuse me, you're calling someone else hypocritical, Marisa? You defined the word.

Next week:
A plate comes back and then time runs out and they can't send it back out. So they're cooking on a line in a restaurant. Looks like all of them are working together. Maybe teams of two. Not sure. Basically, next week, there are problems.

Until next time..

The Amazing Race Episode 8

Last Week on The Amazing Race:
- Barbies came in first place!
- David and Mary started in first place, but stupidly chose to switch detours after everybody had already left, leaving them in last place.
- David and Mary were saved by a NEL again.
- The producers like David and Mary.
- Barbies and Rob/Kimberly had car trouble.
- Barbies and Alabama fought over basically nothing.
- The "Six Pack" alliance openly share information with each other and help each other in challenges. When someone not in their alliance wants to share information or help someone else, the Six Pack throws a tantrum.
- I'm getting real tired of this friends-over-race thing.

This Week on The Amazing Race:
(Apologies.. I've only seen the episode once, when it aired, on a non-rewindable TV. This is all from memory.)

Teams go from Mauritius to Madagascar.

A new twist, the Intersection, is introduced. Here's my shpiel. It's an interesting idea, but wouldn't it have been a better idea to introduce it earlier when there were more teams, thus more than three pairs of teams? I think the producers put it here in an episode after a NEL so there would be a possibility that the team marked for elimination could escape the penalty by teaming up with a possibly stronger team. I also think it's paired with a fast forward for this same reason.

I do not like that the Intersection punishes teams who arrive significantly before another team and have to wait there for the lagging team to arrive. This happened to the Barbies today. Also, the Intersection introduces the idea that teams should rely on one another. I don't like this either. Never has this show been pegged as a show where teams are encouraged to trust and befriend other teams. That's not the premise of the show. It made for good TV and the result was similar to what would have happened sans Intersection, so I guess I have no real complaints.

Interestingly, the Fast Forward was a dual-team challenge. The first pair of teams to finish the Fast Forward would earn the right to skip all remaining tasks and go directly to the pitstop. I was glad that this FF was one of the more complex FFs of the race's history. It stressed the idea that the FF is a risk and never a guaranteed win. Tonight's episode was maybe the fourth time only that a team did not finish first after taking a FF. Guidos, Dennis and Andrew, Monica and Sheree come to mind. I think it was the Supremes.. I'm not positive, but one team took a FF on the first leg when they were in the second bunch of teams, and were too far behind the first bunch that they only managed fourth place with the FF.

This week's Fast Forward had teams eat a plate of cow lips to earn the pass to the pitstop. According to my dad, Chinese people (and probably other Asians) eat this quite often and it's not at all disgusting. My dad is also known for eating "thousand year old eggs," which just look icky, but aren't that old.. and my mom is known for eating fish eyes. (She would have rocked at the first roadblock this season.) If they wanted to go on Fear Factor, they would own the eating tasks.

I really think the most disgusting part of this eating challenge was the cow mouths that were hanging all over the place and the smell of raw meat in the air from the shops around them. There isn't any disgusting puking scene a la Soupgate Season 6 when Victoria, Aaron, and Freddy all chucked all over the place. All we see is the males beefing themselves up as they're eating, high-fiving and commenting on how good they would place, and Kimberly looking miserable the entire time, gagging every once in awhile.

I know most people hate Rob and Kimberly. I mostly do, too, but they're such the token dating couple. They're a cumulation of nine previous seasons worth of arguing, Floing, and bitching. Somehow, this season, the fighting dating couple is hilarious to me. Maybe it's because all of the arguing has been done before, or maybe it's how they argue. Maybe it's because they're equally annoying. It's not one partner tearing apart the other like with Peter and Sarah or the infamous Jonathan and Victoria (who had a baby recently that they gave a horrible name). It's equal complaining, equal yelling. I think it would make a huge difference if Kimberly cried after they argued. Either she doesn't or they don't show it at all. So it's just funny how dysfunctional they are. That's how I view Rob and Kimberly.. they're hilarious.

Anyway, meanwhile, Barbies beg the Chos to work with them because they don't get along with Alabama or Kentucky. Chos whine about having to compete against their friends and alliancemates. Shut up, Chos.. this isn't summer camp.

These two pairs of teams arrive at the Detour. The choices are A.) put a fitted sheet on eight mattresses and carry them through crowded streets to make a delivery to locals, or B.) make a million handcrafted pieces of fancy paper. This episode, teams are not stupid like last episode, and choose to do the more physical task instead of the more tedious time-consuming ridiculous task.

Barbies and Chos are off before the Four Pack. Barbies are carrying four mattresses and Chos are carrying four. Chos mention one or both of them worked for a moving company. Why, then, didn't they pair one Cho brother with one Barbie? Wouldn't that be more efficient? Who knows. Either way, they do okay. They get a local to direct them, until they appear to lose the local at some point. At which time they stand around for way too long asking where their guide went. Then someone realizes they know where they're trying to deliver to and can just ask someone else which way to go. They get their clue that tells them they are no longer bound to the other team. Which means the Barbies can now fly ahead and the Cho brothers can once again be in the Back Pack.

Alabama and Kentucky are having a little more trouble. Their idea of efficient was carrying all of the mattresses at once. They manage to use two fanny packs as rope to tie the mattresses together. I don't think enough people appreciate the humor of this. Fanny Packs.. still useful, yet still unappealing. For some reason, while Barbies and Chos were able to travel along sidewalks of some sort, our unintentionally hilarious Four Pack decides to navigate through traffic, which yes, includes running cars. There are scenes where mattresses are on top of cars with people in them, or mattresses are wedged between two cars. It's great.

So Barbies are first to the Roadblock. They are really owning this leg. Dustin does the Roadblock, in which one team member must locate four vendors along the busy street who have a particular stamp that corresponds to four vehicles (plane, train, bus, car?) that are provided on a sheet of paper. Once they match the four stamps, they will have to get to the pitstop where their teammate is already waiting. I like this.

Chos get there after Dustin has already found one or two stamps. They ask if she's found the clue and she either says 'no' or ignore them. While it seems a little mean, the Barbies aren't here to play the friend game. Also, if Dustin is by herself, doesn't it seem reasonable to assume she's doing the roadblock? Just my opinion. Anyway, Godwin decides to do it.

So we see Kandice and Erwin waiting at the pitstop. We see clips of the Fast Forwarders making their way to the pitstop once they finish the cow lips. Dustin finishes getting her stamps and rushes to the pitstop as well. Then, editors actually do a good job in convincing us that the FFers make it to the pitstop before Dustin. But in actuality, Dustin runs toward the pitstop and Kandice gets excited. They go to Phil and he tells them that they're in 1st place. Yay! They proceed to get really excited and mention that a group went for the FF. Yes, Barbies, you beat the FFers.. you were that good. They win a trip for two to Hawaii.

Erwin is sitting there still and we think maybe Godwin will arrive next. Nope. It's the FFers. Tyler and James arrive in second and possibly think that Rob and Kimberly were in front of them, but either way, they're pretty happy. Then Rob and Kimberly arrive and look disappointed at having taken longer to complete one task than the Barbies were at completing two. Well, it happens.

Next, Godwin appears and the Chos are fourth.

David and Mary arrive at the roadblock first and Mary performs it. Alabama strolls in sometime later and Lyn does it. Why are Alabama strolling? Partially because this is how excited they are typically and partially because they know they can take their time and still beat David and Mary's thirty minute penalty time. So Mary finishes first and she and David step onto the mat in fifth, but have to wait out their penalty. Lyn arrives sometime after and they step onto the mat in fifth and David and Mary have to step on the mat in last place. This means goodbye David and Mary.

It was fun while it lasted, Kentucky. I will miss the Kentucky of two episodes ago, where they were genuinely excited to do everything and in less of a giving-up mood.

Next time on The Amazing Race: People jump into quicksand? People roll in barrels? (No, actually that may have been Survivor.)

Until next time..

Most Exciting Immunity Challenge Ever

I don't think I stressed in my Survivor blog enough how exciting this immunity challenge was. Observe the best come from behind win ever in Survivor history. I cannot think of a challenge where a team was more behind and able to come back so quickly to win. Jenny OWNED. It was as if she had done this puzzle a million times before.

Marisa vs. Starr

I got the best screenshots that I could, so even though it's not dead similar, you've gotta agree, the two crazies look alike. They've both got that Clay-Aiken-shaped face. Nothing would make me more upset than to be forced to spend time in a small room with these two.

vs.

These two pictures capture exactly what I can't stand about these two.

Marisa: She has a bit of a condescending look to her face. A little bit of a "this is what I'm gonna do and it'll be amazing." Except it never is.

Starr: She is so weak and has no self-confidence. Her face says, "My dress probably sucked. Actually, I'm sure it did. They're gonna send me home, I just know it."

If these two were to duke it out, Marisa would win, doing so by accusing Starr of doing something totally heinous that she didn't exactly do. Starr would break down and cry about how she's useless and sucks at life and then Marisa would smirk in the background. Also, I'm pretty confident that if these two were to meet, they would not get along. There's nothing I like more than when two very similarly annoying people find each other annoying.

Survivor Episode 8

Last week on Survivor:
Adam tells Cristina she sucks. In the challenge, Aitu kicks ass. Aitu votes out Cao Boi. Raro votes out Cristina. Ozzy is the only initial Aitu member remaining in the game.

This week on Survivor:
Flicka spends some time being paranoid. It's revealed that Ozzy can fly. He caught a freaking bird! He apparently "krept up on it and snatched it." Jonathan once again shows that he's really an animal lover and looks upset when they have to kill the bird. This surprises me once again. Yul snaps the bird's neck and they get to eat meat. Then a montage of Ozzy moments is shown and I'll bet if Nate saw this while he was over with Aitu, he'd be mad jealous. Aitu is eating good.

Reward Challenge:
Three swimmers have to take turns swimming to a platform, jumping off a ledge, breaking a plate to free a key, and retrieving that key in the water. Aitu chooses Ozzy, Candice, and Yul. Raro chooses Adam, Parvati, and Rebecca. Apparently, Brad is better at puzzles? Nate, who Aitu kidnapped but then chose to sit out in the challenge, is wondering why Brad isn't swimming. I wondered the same thing. A puzzle is a puzzle. And as we see later, Jenny is the puzzle master on Raro, not Brad.

Basically, Rebecca gets so exhausted and takes forever and a half and doesn't even get her key, which means Adam has to go get the key and doesn't get to break another plate in the process. Parvati and Candice rocked for their teams. I don't think I have ever seen two females cast in the "pretty young girl" role be so strong when it comes to competitions.

Aitu wins, which is no surprise. They get peanut butter and potatoes, which they chose as their prize in the case that they won. Raro had chosen peanut butter and bread, which they didn't get when they lost.

Adam is sent to Exile Island and it rains. It looked bad. I'm not sure whether it was as bad as the Danielle/Austin Sexile Island of last season, but it looked bad. And Adam didn't even get to have Candice there to huddle with. How sad.

People are karaoke-ing Headstrong in the room adjacent to me.

Immunity Challenge:
Nobody told me, but it appears that the theme of this week is puzzles. In this challenge, teams have to put together a step ladder out of long poles. Then, they have to all walk up the ladder to a platform. Three people have to one at a time go down a zip line into the water and each retrieve a bag of puzzle pieces. Yul, Candice, and Ozzy go for Aitu. Nate, Parvati, and Brad go for Raro. Raro is way behind at the zipline. Aitu starts the puzzle before the last Raro person is back with the pieces. Then, Jenny completely owns the puzzle, which looks pretty difficult, definitely more difficult that the Reward Challenge puzzle. She doesn't even seem to think about it. She just goes into autopilot and bam, bam, bam, it's over. Raro wins.

Back at Aitu camp, Flicka is paranoid. She talks about aligning with people who really just don't want to align with her. Nobody trusts Jonathan, but honestly, if people think the merge is coming up, they'd better try adding up 6 and 6 again. There's two more weeks until merge. They can get rid of Jonathan then. It's not like he's the biggest threat right now. Just crafty..

So the vote is 1 for Jonathan from Flicka and a million votes for Flicka from everybody else. Bye Bye Flicka. You are not My Friend.

Next Week on Survivor: Raro doesn't trust Brad. They all get a chance to "change the game forever." Yippee. I hear it's called Mutiny and they all get a chance to switch tribes. Which, no. Who in their right mind at this point would switch? I hope Candice doesn't switch just to be with Adam. Adam's demeanor reminds me of Howie Big Brother. I hear that someone does choose to switch. I don't read these spoilers though, so I don't know the details. We'll have to wait and see.

Until next time..

Top Chef Episode 3

Last week on Top Chef:
-Marisa made bad food
-Marisa was an asshole
-Otto was too nice to stick up for himself
-Padma Lakshmi talks funny

This week on Top Chef:
Here's how we stand. I like Betty. I like Cliff. I hate Marcel (Wolverine). I hate Marisa. And before we got too far into this episode, I discovered that I hate Emily. I'm also not too fond of Michael.

To be honest, I'm working off of notes because I'm a lame and because I can't remember everything that happens, especially with so many people around.

We're greeted in the episode with Frank's snoring. Then Wolverine says 'molecular gastronomy' again. Stephen, anyone? ('Sommelier, Sommelier, Sommelier') Michael then tells us that he wants to stay in the middle. This is not Survivor, where UTR (Under the Radar) works. This is a talent show. Pretty soon the middle turns into the bottom, which turns into "pack your knives and go." I don't think Michael cares enough to try to be on top. That seems to be a theme with Michael, as we see in this episode as well as in the previews for next episode.

Padma has what looks like a dark line on her right arm. It might be a scar. She announces the Quickfire Challenge: Create a unique ice cream flavor. Time limit is 2hr45min or something. After they're finished, they have to serve their ice cream to everyday people at a beach. They don't know this until their time limit is up.

Marisa thinks she will win because she's a pastry chef. Obviously, she doesn't remember the last dessert she made on the show. (Flashback to Marisa's panna cotta having too much gelatin in it. Ming Tsai called it a hockey puck.) So here's the deal with Marisa.. I don't like her. She reminds me of one spectacularly tacky, weak, self-doubting Starr from Project Runway Season 1. Okay, I just spent fifteen minutes trying to find pictures of the two where they look alike. The only pictures I found don't show my point, so I'll wait and screenshot it sometime later. Anyway, I don't like Marisa. Last episode, she totally waited for the time to be right and then scumbagged Otto. I thought Otto was a little odd, but I was completely on his side last episode. No, it wasn't an honest mistake, but I don't think he ever intentionally stole anything. He saw the lychees and thought, oh what a deal, we got free lychees. I bet Marisa was the one who forgot to put them back when they initially decided not to buy them to stay under budget. Anyway, done deal. I hate Marisa.

So Cliff is smart. He decides to make his ice cream based on what he likes to eat, not based on what flavor is big right now. He uses marshmallows and cookies or something. Ilan uses waffles and bacon. He says it's breakfast in an ice cream. I don't know about the bacon. Wolverine is also using bacon. With avocado. Ewww! Emily is using chocolate and.. jasmine? I didn't write it down. Something that seemed like it should be a fragrance and not an ice cream flavor.

Quick notes: At some point, Padma is wearing short shorts. Michael cusses. Not for the last time. Emily hates kids. Betty acts like a kid. Carlos has avocado in his ice cream too.

Okay, bacon? Who puts bacon in ice cream? It's globs of grease. You could blot it with a napkin and you would never be able to remove the nasty. I don't get it. And isn't that stuff naturally salty? Does salty mix with ice cream well?

So at the beach, Sam thinks he should flirt with the mothers. In front of their children. We find out that nobody likes Wolverine. Or his ice cream. Josie is awkward as always and apparently wasn't popular in high school.

Then, Emily totally rips on a customer. In confessional, not to her face, but it's just horrible. She says some lady told her there wasn't enough sugar in the ice cream. Emily's response? That the woman's fat ass doesn't need anymore sugar. Uh, I hate Emily. Totally uncalled for.

Challenge results: The three worst are Marisa (haha), Emily (haha), and Wolverine (hahaha), who only got seven votes. I'd throw in a hahahaha, except, who the hell were the seven people who prefered avocado and bacon over, well, anything else? Did his extended family show up to the tasting? Anyway, the three best are, tied for runner-up, Carlos and Sam, and winner, Cliff! Yay Cliff!

Marisa sucks.

Elimination Challenge: (Wow, I wrote a lot for Quickfire) Turn a childhood favorite into a prospective TGIFridays entree. Winner gets their plate put onto the TGIF menu all across the country. Part of their challenge is they're serving to firemen, who help in the judging by giving comments.

Betty is excited. She is comfort food apparently. Wolverine says he doesn't do comfort food. Right.. he does crap. Emily's a bitch.. it's in my notes, I'm not sure why it's there specifically, but it's true.

During food shopping, Michael buys stuff for himself with the challenge money. When he's overbudget, he puts back cheese for his dish instead of beer for himself. Idiot.

Betty says 'pontificating.' This might be when Wolverine decides that it's "not fair" that the deep fryer wasn't hot enough. He decides to bitch about it.. and bitch about it.. and bitch about it. And none of this is warranted bitching, which Betty recognizes and calls him out on. I just wish she could have come off as less whiny and more condescending to him. He's stupid.

Tom is wearing leopard print? I don't know.

Apparently, Elia's the only one who likes Wolverine because she worked as his sous chef at some point. Can I just say now, Elia is not 23. When I first saw her, I said oh look, another mother. I put her at 35. She's 23?! Uh-uh.

Frank is on mushrooms. Tom mentions this as a joke, but I believe it. His dish is like crack on a plate. Something about meat and vegetables made to look like a fairy tell or whatever the heck is not appealing. I'll eat desserts that look like something else, but if you're giving me meat and celeries, don't make it look like freaking Alice in Wonderland. Even Michael the trainwreck calls Frank a trainwreck. You know something's wrong when that happens.

Wolverine is 12 years old. He decides to heckle Betty as she cooks. I'm all for heckling Smellrose in ANTM challenges, but who heckles in a kitchen?

When it comes down to it, Ilan, Betty, and Sam (?) are the top three. Sweet. When the guest judge announces that Betty is the winner and will have her dish on TGIF menus all over the country, she screams. And I scream too, because that's my natural response when someone else screams. This is two wins in a row. I'm really liking Betty.

Then, it's Frank, Michael, and Emily in the bottom three. Emily's dish was salt with a splash of food. Gail says it was inedible. Frank was on shrooms, as we mentioned. Michael is a trainwreck, as we mentioned. The judges don't think he cares. He probably doesn't. He acts like a child in the judging room. Ultimately, Emily's plate of salt is not gonna cut it. She has to pack up her knives and go.

Next week on Top Chef: (I don't actually remember the preview, so none of this is true) The Quickfire Challenge is make a pastry. Marisa thinks she'll win. It doesn't happen.. again. The Elimination Challenge has them pair up with one other person to make a dish. Betty and Cliff team up and win. Marisa is with Wolverine. They lose and both of them are sent home.

Until next time..

The Biggest Loser Episode 7

So this week on The Biggest Loser, they had a pseudo-merge. The teams became null and void and they were put into pairs, each with one red team member and one blue team member. So this week's pseudo-merge was met with a pseudo-temptation. Basically, there were eight boxes and anybody who participated would have to stick their hand into a box and either eat whatever food was in there or it would be the winning box with some sort of card in it, which meant they'd be able to choose the teams. So they go in some strange order that they seemed to randomly pick on the stop. The whole time, I was thinking it's 6, it's 6, it's 6. I'm not even positive it was box 6, but I think it was. Anyway, it just happens that it's the last box picked, and Wylie picks it, which, good for him. He's been pretty much the red team bottom bitch for like three weeks.. not by choice. Those three red team girls have been threatening to kick him off for awhile, and now he pretty much has the ability to say, you know what? I pick Marty.

So, yeah, basically Wylie picks Marty. They have some ceremony type thing where Wylie names all the teams. Kai has the free pass still from a few weeks ago when the entire red team ate like five tons of food. So who she's placed with is a huge deal and everybody has their opinion on who she should be paired with. Ultimately, Wylie's thinking long-term, and puts Eric with Kai because Eric "needs to be [t]here." Apparently nobody has faith in Eric and if he doesn't stay on the ranch for a long time, he'll be hopeless at home and be 900 pounds at the reunion. Well, I like Eric. I have faith in him. But either way, put him with Kai, whatever. Brian is with Pam. Heather is with Bobby. Wylie smartly chooses Marty, which in a way is nice, because both of them were almost voted off at some point in the past, and they've both lost a lot of weight.

Next is either the challenge or a workout. I think it's a workout. Bob and Kim have to train the teams together or something. The old teams still hang out sometimes and it's just kinda weird because Bob and Kim don't have similar styles of training. Bob is more hardcore and Kim is more lax, is what I get a feel of. There's a little tiff between the two trainers over pre-challenge training.. so it was before the challenge. Kim doesn't think Bob should kill the contestants and Bob doesn't kill them, so it's basically a pointless argument. I like Bob.

Oh, let's talk about Kim. Not so much about her as about how she's on the show now. I have no idea what happened to the old trainer Jillian, but she appeared on Kathy Griffin's My Life on the D-List. She was at Kathy's Toys for Tots charity event and was apparently following Kathy around. As Kathy puts it, she was annoying and Kathy didn't know who she was. I thought it was funny. I've wondered if she was fired for being obnoxious ever since.

So then there's the challenge. It's very Survivor-esque. The pairs have to hold up a metal rod with one arm each. This rod is inside of a metal circle. If the rod touches any part of the circle at any point, the circle lights into a ball of flames, or whatever Caroline Rhea called it. Coincidentally, Caroline Rhea has been on My Life on the D-List as well, but not as an annoying troll, but as one of Kathy's only female friends. Anyway, I think Kai drops the ball first, not literally, and she and Eric are out. Then it's Heather and Bobby. Finally, something happens that was either Marty telling Wylie to let Pam and Brian have it, or Marty doing something stupid and accidentally tilting the rod too far. Anyway, Pam and Brian win a phone call home.. and video phone call. They both have small children.

Weigh-ins! Caroline says something about not dropping below the yellow line and because I was playing minesweeper while I was watching the show, I thought something weird was going on that involved raising and lowering them or something. Basically, they didn't want to be in the bottom two teams. Because, oh I didn't mention this.. an entire team is going home! So It's Pam and Brian in the bottom two because Pam's fear came true and she didn't lose that much weight again. And the other team was Kai and Eric because Eric gained 3 pounds. Shocker, yes. What we didn't know was Eric planned on slacking this week because he wanted to get the free pass out of the way and then kick a huge number next week. Smart game playing. Healthy? I'm not so sure. Bob doesn't respond to it in as pissed a manner as I thought he would. He was just like, hey, it's a game, or something.

So Kai and Eric use the free pass. No votes are shown. Pam and Brian go home. Sucks for Brian. He was biggest loser like three times or something. So we see that Brian has lost a lot of weight since getting home. He's also become a different person. His hair is short and his facial hair is either gone or very minimal. It's a huge change. Pam has lost another 25 pounds, which is nice. I think Jenn from episode 1 has seemed like the most drastic change of all the women bootees so far.

The big shocking preview ends up being.. basically a preview for next week. Caroline Rhea brings back six contestants that didn't make it onto the ranch. Three women, three men. The biggest losers of the bunch, top male and top female, will join the competition as a new team replacing Brian and Pam. There's a lot of bitching and moaning from everybody, especially Heather and Kai about how they didn't want to trade Pam and Brian who this. Boo hoo. I guess I see where they're coming from, but as a viewer, I LOVE this twist. It wasn't so much of a surprise since they're been telling us about it all season, but I'm really pumped. North Dakota chick looks so small. I don't know what she started at, but the girl doesn't look like she should be on a show called The Biggest Loser.

Next week we'll find out who's coming back.

Weekly Viewing Schedule

What I'm watching and when I'm watching it.. except when I'm at school, which is most of the year, I watch everything a day or two late because my TV access and time are limited.

Sunday

-The Amazing Race: My favorites are Dustin & Kandace (the Barbies), and Mary, the funniest and most awesome contestant ever.
-Desperate Housewives: This show has gotten so strange, but I'm pretty faithful to my shows.
-Flavor of Love: This season is over and the best news I've heard in awhile is out.. New York is going to have her own show! Haha I love trainwrecks.

Monday
-CSI Miami: I've never liked "Horatio Caine" or how every show is about the Malanoche, but occassionally there's good stuff.

Tuesday
-Miami Ink: This show is amazing. It's one of those kick back and enjoy shows.

Wednesday
-America's Next Top Model: My favorite was Brooke but now that they've eliminated her for no good reason, I'm a hardcore CariDee fan. And I'm dealing with Jaeda because I want her to stay around long enough to break the record for most times in the bottom 2. Ann Markley (Cycle 3), Bre Scullark (Cycle 5), and Jade Cole (Cycle 6) hold the record of 5 times. Bre and Lluvy Gomez (Cycle 4) hold the record of the most consecutive times in the bottom 2, which is 3 times. (I really liked Lluvy even though her photos sucked.) I have faith in Jaeda to pull off a new record.. she's already at 3 and I forsee Eugena and a twin leaving before her.
-The Biggest Loser: I don't really ever have any favorites. I like how this is one of the only shows where everybody benefits hugely from being on it.
-Justice: We'll see how long this lasts.. they already pulled the "we're gonna have a three week hiatus because of sports programming."
-Top Chef: I like Betty, the pleasantly middle-aged woman. I cannot stand "Wolverine," aka Marcel. He's growing a Stephen vibe.
-CSI NY: This is the best CSI out there. It has just the right balance. Miami doesn't have interesting character development and Las Vegas is a little too complicated.

Thursday
-Survivor: My favorites are Parvati, Yul, and Becky. Parvati is Morasca but even funnier and I like the duo of Yul and Becky.
-CSI: This show has so much history.

Friday
-Numb3rs: This is a feel good show for Saturdays when I don't want to do work.

Saturday
-nothing
